Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic.

To all my friends - I will be moving out on the 1st October to Newmarket and disappearing from Internetland for a bit. Broadband, I've just had confirmed shall be installed in my new residence on the 15th, so we'll be gone until then but back for a glorious return.

Alas no daily blog of my first day(s) at work. I shall have to do it the old pencil n paper method.

I plan to spend my evenings NOT surfing the youtubes (there's a change!) but exploring my local environs, catching up on my reading and getting into a serious post-work gym routine.

Icy North

I visited Newmarket a year or two ago. I've never seen so many shops selling horsey bric-a-brac.

If you want to fit in, I suggest you buy a trilby.

Or drive down the way to Haverhill where they have something called "a leisure centre" and serve "proper food" at "Frankie and Bennies" and have a "cin-e-ma" for showing "moofies"

Then there's always days out in Cambridge proper if I want to feel vicariously intelligent
