A Conversation for Nintendo 64 - the Gaming Console
Emulation

A side note is that as computer speed and power grows, the Nintendo 64 can live on in another form: emulation.
Emulators exist for the IBM-PC platform, most notably the "Ultra-HLE" emulator, and probably for the Mac, that will allow N64 games to be played without actually requiring the N64 console itself.
For legality, it's noted that one must own the game cartridge to have a proper right to play the ported ROM game file on the N64 emulator.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
