Whilst the visuals for, say, the Saturn and Playstation are pretty much the same (and the PS2 compared to the DC...), you can always tell an N64 game when you see one. The graphics engine added a kind of blurring routine to all the textures, and even 2d games were a little fuzzy. (I can only think of two decent 2d games though - Treasure's Bangai-O and Mischief Makers... 'Shake shake!' excellent stuff.)
Interesting Fact: There are no good beat `em ups on the N64.
Perfect Dark and Goldeneye are at the pinnacle of first person shooting entertainment (in my opinion :> )
Nice chunky cartridges and instant loading times... I'll miss them...
