I could see Sting being Styx. Sting always wanted to be Steerpike. And I don't know the young crop of rock musicians very well, but there must be legions who would love the freedom of being a rat in an imaginary world.

l've never been mistaken for Patti Smith before, l must say. l once did have a guy about sixteen years old come running after me once who caught my attention, panting from the effort, to inform me that "You look almost just like my older sister who used to be a lesbian except she's marrying a fireman now!"
And then he went back about his business. Said nothing else. Never seen him before or since.
l never did figure that one out.

It is always very unsettling to be accosted by strangers with urgent news that's only really meaningful to them. Usually only happens to me on public transport, though.

Time to put on another CD. Have you ever heard of Pierre Bensusan? This is one of his early CD's, it won lots of awards. Acoustic guitar, French -Algerian-Irish jazz, if you can figure that.

Hmm. Bensusan? l've never heard his actual music, but someone mentioned him to me a few weeks ago. Another complete stranger, actually. l was in a local community college and the admissions counselor randomly began chatting about his musical preferences. l believe he mentioned Bensusan, as well as a pair of French-Canadian sisters who specialised in some sort of Celtic-influenced accordian music. Their names escape me at present, though.

I know who he means and I can't remember the name, either. An interesting sound.

Did you know that if she were living in the woods Springie would turn green? Unaus have a knack for letting algae grow on the hair on their backs. Needless to say, it won't happen in this house.

*yawns* It's gone midnight and I really must turn in. Tomorrow is Monday, which is meaningful for a whole lot of people. You make yourself at home.

l had some l think it was an azalea once. lt tasted like apple. Nice texture. Not bad.

never had one... I hear cactus flowers are especially delicious, though the texture isn't very appealing

l've had astragalus cactus juice...l've had agave, too. Unfermented tequila. lt's not bad.
Bit easier to drink than -regular- tequila...but not bad...
