Thanks for wishing me luck, Floh! 
Well, I didn't get the job I was applying for at that interview but (I kid you not!!!) they want me back at my old job!! One of my colleagues quit and so I got offered her position - which was my position before I got fired... .
To be honest, I'm not too thrilled to go back there, but frankly we need the money... . 
So with the prospect of being in "Lohn und Brot" again in February I can really enjoy my last days of "freedom".

Oh, congratulations are in order!
I'm really happy to a (any!) job at all.
And getting back to your old job does have its advantages!!! You know your way around and don't feel like a complete idiot for the first few weeks - like you usually do when you start a new job.
And it's nice to see how my suppliers and colleagues tell me they're happy to have me back!!!
