Do you have to soak them for hours or are they available in tins, ready to eat (like kidney beans)?
How big are they?
What colour are they?
Can you get them in Germany?
Do you have to give the salad a really hot Mexican-style dressing to give them taste?

We soaked them some hours and then boiled them in the pressure cooker.
They are as big as kidney beans and of beige colour with a dark brown eye around the "navel".
We bought them at an Arabic shop in Freiburg im Breisgau.
The dressing: olive oil, balsamico vinegar, pepper, savory, thyme and "was das Gewuerzregal hergab"

*comes in and opens windows. Puts radio on really loud.* It was my birthday yesterday and so here's a bottle of Sekt and I was given two CD's. Would you rather hear Robbie Williams singing Frank Sinatra songs or the recording of the Sting concert from 11 September? Only problem - my sons forgot to give me lots of boxes of Kleenex because both records made me cry so much! So I've come here to "borrow" some loo paper.
