Tine - a double digit Knight!

Hello there Aurora,
maybe I can help with the Cologne accent? I've moved here 'bout ten years ago, so at least I can understand most of it! But I guess it won't help you if I tell you what he said later smiley - sadface
A big Hallo! to the ladies, may I join the Club? I constribute half a bottle of white wine and a bag of salted chips.

Hi Tine - come in and cool off. I think I'll paint some interesting graffitti on these bare white tiles. Does anyone play an instrument? The acoustics are always supposed to be so good in toilets.

Hi there everybody!

Hi Tine - you live in Cologne??? I'm from Cologne - born there, still live there!! I was even born a "Schmitz" (most common name in Cologne) but I have to admit I speak very little Kölsch (can it be coincidence that the accent is called EXACTLY like the beer??? smiley - winkeye).

Unfortunately I don't play any instruments (apart from CD players...) but I can sing loud, with enthusiasm - and terribly wrong. smiley - winkeye

My favourite song to sing for myself is Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz".
*sings* "Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz..." smiley - biggrin

Anyone else know that one???

(*Oh Lord won't you buy me a night on the town; I'm counting on you Lord, please don't let me down - prove that you love me and buy the next round; oh Lord won't you buy me a night on the town*)

Nice!
I sometimes wish I had a differnt (=faster! smiley - winkeye) car. But then I'm very happy with my Fiesta and anyway the A4 is usually so crowded that I can't go as fast as I'd like... .

Oh, in that respect I'm very lucky with my Fiesta! Never had any repairs apart from the usual stuff (Verschleißteile).
My car isn't too old in years (4) but quite old in kilometres (120.000)... .
Fortunately it's a Diesel!

Funnily it doesn't say anywhere on the car itself that it's a Diesel so I often get asked at the gas station (always by men) "Miss, are you sure you're car takes Diesel?"
As if a woman didn't know one kind of fuel from the other. (*sigh*) I'm always tempted to say "No, it takes Super but that's too expensive..." smiley - biggrin

My father's car is a VW Lupo and he was asked (by a vet): "Diesel or milk?"

smiley - biggrin That's cute!!!

My father always called his old car a "Düsel". smiley - smiley I think that's a really cute name for a car... .

Do you give names to your car(s)?
I have to admit I do. A friend of my husband started to give her cars names according to the license plates and we somehow "caught" that from her. My car is named Anselm (AN) my husband's car is calles Django (DJ). Before Django we had a Catweasel (CW)... .
I know it's silly, but we even refer to our cars by their names... . smiley - blush
