'1 Carry out a review of these NBS policies.
2 Overturn the current policy against G&B Men and instead discriminate against unsafe sexual practices.'

I don't know how much good it'll do but every little helps (which, apparently, is more than can be said for our blood at the moment).

Siogned.... But even if they overturned the ruling I'd not be able to give blood as I've recieved a blood transfusion myself on/before a certain date which means I can't give

yea, name is on the list now I clicked on the thinggy in the Email... some of those names on the list oook very famuliar

I Googled a few that really rang a bell but they mostly seem to be students and doctors.

Yeh, a couple of the names looked famuliar with those who I knew at Uni when doing my Masters... they may well be doctory types nowdays most on that course were heading that way of course... Could be differnt peo;le with same/simular names

The NUS LGBT camapign has been really succesful with its campaign on this topic - the "Donation not Discrimination" Campaign. The NBS now admits that its policies are discriminatory and has promised to review them!

This has been one of the biggest campaigns ever organised by NUS LGBT, and although my Union didn't do any campaigning per se, over 20 other unions did!

The NUS petition has thousands of signatures, so if you want to know what the NUS is doing take a look
