I was just about to read the 'Choosing A Sexuality For Dummies Page' to see if it had any mention of this, but it's been hidden.

Recently for the first time in my life I've been confused as to my sexuality. I've known I bisexual since I was like 6-9 not that had a name for it.
But for a while now my interest in penetrative sex has been waning. And as something of what used to be called 'bottom' when indulging my gayer side I now seemed to have turned straight and I worry I'm turning into an asexual.
Should I be dismissing it as cyclical and transitory change in human sexuality and be content in the knownledge I'll probably be back to fancying boys again in no time?

I'm fairly certain there's an article on asexuality - here it is A4455263. I wonder why the choosing a sexuality article has been hidden, maybe the profundity filter has taken a dislike to it.

I'm no psychiatrist or anything, but I know personally I will go through periods of asexuality, when I'm just not interested in blokes at all. These spells are usually short-lived and my sex drive always comes back, usually with avengence and I've stopped worrying about it

I think, for sex drive, and 'atraction', they're things (well that I've found anyhow), go in and out (ooo err), ... I find in some periods I can just about think and say, 'right that's it, I'm gay'... No interest whatsoever in women, and thenn, whatja know I meet some girl and that 'side' of me was just obviously in hyper-lurk mode for some time, and of course teh reverse can be true and then at other times, though Its kinda hard to believe, I just go off it all together

I think it does exist, not least because someone that I, and a few other people, know think that somone we know may well be asexual.
