There's a lot of news about gay clergy right now, specifically shold churches admit them or not.

As a full-on atheist (with a fairly dim view of theists) I feel that if you don't like the rules you shouldn't join the club. Why should a church accept gay clergy? Surely it's down to the church to decide who they accept or reject?

If churches are hassled to 'amend' their doctrines surely that demonstrates a deep insecurity within their controllers? Why not just ignore them and hope that eventually they'll go away?

As a christian I find that easy to answer..albeit with another question . Why should your sexuality stop you performing a job you feel God has called you to do?

It shouldn't but those who hate ius the most tend to use their so-called Christianity as a way to hide behind their hatred which is why the issue is causing the Chursch of England to all-but self destruct.

Religion is the only real voice of gay hate that exists in this world - look at how the Muslim states treat us by killing us - and this is also the case in the UK as everytime any gay issue is ever discussed anywhere you can be guaranteed that the only opposition will come from so-called Christians.

Ah, you're forgetting about the 'Moral-majority', or narrow minded bigotted idiots as I like to call them, a lot of them are athiests. Actualy they're agnostics, but most of them are too stupid to know the difference, so they claim to be athiests.
