Well, clearly h2g2 only attracts normal, middle-of-the-road, conformist types, and nobody who's interested in anything strange, rare or off-beat

I'm afraid I can't contribute with any form of diversity but I do wish we weren't all so conform and uniform around here. If you're wondering what I'm doing on M2M2 (of which I had heard a long time ago) it's because I followed Ben after wishing him a Happy Birthday.

As for this place dying out - they do. That's all there is to it. Some have successful revivals, some may be replaced, some outlive their use, and some are, as has been said, subject to the whittling away of interesting and out-of-the ordinary people on H2G2. Sometimes I get fed up with having long and wordy discussions with people I agree with anyway.
