OK the IRA have said they will put all their guns beyond use within 24 hours of the reestablishment of the Northern Ireland Assembly. Which has now been hinted will be the 22 May. Which was the initial deadline. So it looks like I'll have another cahnge of driver in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan.

Was going to say something about worse splinter groups, but that wouldn't be optimistic...

Wow! Okay, pardon my ignorance, I had noticed there was some recent excitement about Northern Ireland but I didn't realise it was serious. I tend to avoid the news on that due to it's incompatibility with a state of optimism but maybe now I'll start to pay attention.

It's serious alright but we're all waiting unitl we start the party, these things havew a tendancy to change at the last minute. But things look like they are moving in a constructive manner.
