The biggest w***er this side of the Black Stump? Who is so self obsessed, egotistical and insecure that he is convinced that people hate him cos he is gay not because of the true reason, which is that he is a k***... grr... had a bad experience today with a friend. He knows about me, he is fine with that but is such a closet case himself *sighs*
This was the exchange over ICQ:
I said (as a joke):
"You can be as bad as Chris at times..."
He replied: "u r dead when we get back 2 school
NEVER compare me 2 wilcox!!!!!!!!!
DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD."
I replied: "*wan smile*
Its called deadpan humour... its a type I use a lot. If something seems outrageous to you then it probably is a joke."
And after no reponse: "*sighs to himself*
My sense of humour is very dark... don't take what I say so seriously"
This is bad, VERY bad... he might calm down but if he doesn't then I am in trouble, Matt is in trouble and my friends are in trouble. Going to an all boys grammar school, even an EXTREMELY laid back one like mine, can cause problems. Still, if I am lucky he will get stoned out of his mind this weekend and get it on with Ewan. He is gonna explode sometime soon though.
*starts composure grooming fastideously*

Not quite sure I understand the situation, but I hope it sorts itself out!
As to Peter Tatchell - okay, he's not top of the list, but who else should I add to the page? Positive suggestions please!

OK how about Channel 4/Film 4 hard to seperate them, but they have produced a lot of positive gay imagesand stories on both television and film.
Including the first interracial gay sex scene 'My Beautiful Launderette', first prime time lesbian kissing scene 'Brookside', first drama based around all gay charectors 'Queer as Folk' plus many others. The list is actually quite long.

Yup - I think that's a really good idea. Good lateral thinking there, DD...

As an international site how this which I've just found on my Yahoo front page. How about a big hand for Governor Howard Dean.
Vermont Governor Signs Gay Civil Union Bill Into Law
MONTPELIER, Vt. (Reuters) - Vermont's governor on Wednesday signed landmark legislation granting the full benefits of marriage to same-sex couples in the state.
``This is a statement that Vermont values people for who they are, not what they are,'' said Democratic Gov. Howard Dean as he signed the measure at a ceremony in the rural New England state.
The civil union law, which will go into effect in July, will have no impact on federal law relating to marriage. But it is expected to have a profound effect on many state laws, including adoption, inheritance and health care.

And the National Union of Teachers are campaigning to have the government repeal Section 28. Cheers.

Hoorah!
Aha! I have someone else to add to the Blacklist! How could I *possibly* have forgotten the Daily Mail. I was astounded a couple of week ago when they actually got away with claiming that teachers had attacked the replacement for Section 28 'because it might still allow for homosexuality to be promoted in schools'. Of course, there had been outcry from teachers, but that was because they felt they might still not be able to protect people being bullied for their sexuality.
I'm all for freedom of the press, but that covers journalism, not spouting crap...

Very well done. If i think of anything (which i doubt i will) I'll let you know. I can't belive the Daily Mail thought they copuld get away with that!

And it's not just that they thought they could get away with it, but also that they actually thought that's how the world should work. I'm not sure that they don't, but if they don't I can't see why they're not supporting the BNP - which is all about letting those in the majority decide everything regardless of everyone else, and ignore the minorities, purely because they're in the minority!

Well, this minority won't take it lying down!

Well we shouldn't have to. /Hopefully/ our MPs will remember what they're supposed to do. We can always pray for miracles...

I will try. I'm not a cynic, I'm normally an optimist, but when it comes to politics...

Well let's make a pact. To be more consistently optimistic, even in the case of politics!
