h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We came home form shopping and parked in the usual space near the big hedge. As we got out we could here a cat mewing! After a short search I put my hand into the thick hedge and felt a soft furry thing!
It was a white female kitten with patches of black and ginger, and she wanted a hug.

It appears someone put her in the hedge to loose her! Having asked the vet who checked with others about lost cats, no reports of a cat matching her description had been reported.

We took her into the house and fed her and introduced her to the others. Usual suspicious mutterings from the others, but the black cats Basil and Roxey made her welcome. She has a good apatite and settled down very quickly, no fights or any arguments cats do know when they are well off.

The vet said she is 5 moths old and in good shape. We did not know how to re-home her and she had settled so quickly and acquired the name of Bela. She loves thee running and chase games with Gussy who loves her company.

A very strange adventure for her but she is absolutely settled down and very happy.

They are all accepting her apart from male cat called Smokey, but he tends to ignore her.

She is a happy joyful kitten no trouble and in the house is clean and always uses the litter trays.

That is good that Bela is settling in well and able to use the litter tray - well done for rescuing her

I've only got one word = respect!


don't rush in finding her an home, she's got a good one already now

The good news is no one has asked about her or looked for her.
The adoption is complete, she wants to stay. She has made friends with all the others, but her special friend is Guss the youngest male he plays with her all day, he loves her. Good job its a large house we hardly notice and they have a lovely time

It is a good start and she is learning fast, she has plenty of education from the others.

Soda, games
Phoenix, manners
Roxy, good lady like behavior
Guss, Fun
Charley, seeping
Smokey, keeping lean
And Bela is doing well thanks to them

Wow! That is good that Bela has settled in so well

They are self sufficient for daily life, and they thrive on the company they have.

Cats and horses are the best.

You meet a lot of interesting folk connected with horses. The most memorable was the Brigadier Joe, a memorable man and a true gentleman!
