If they really wanted to stop lower-class kids getting obese, they'd do something like restrict marketing - and that would be far more effective than a tax.

They are stuck for an alternative and its a good way of raising cash, and they will use the the excuse that it funds treatment for the overweight

Geez! talk about a nanny state, can't they even leave us alone to make up our own minds if we want to be obese or not?

They have outlawed smoking, and trying "in Scotland" to make alcohol so expensive that we can't afford it, so we don't drink too much?

They are trying to price us off the roads by taxing fuel, telling us what we should eat and how much exercise we should take.

Now they are forcing us to take out private pensions, .......it's turned out nice again, hasn't it

Foods less expensive, diesel has been less than 97p for ages no road tax, better health care and they sand the bill to the NHS beer cheaper, house prices lower and free English TV just buy a £47 box.
Fags cheaper booze as well. As a population we are not appreciated just a cash cow to fund their social experiments

sell off school sports fields, less time in school gyms (saves money on PE/PT teachers that didn't do any other type of lessons)
Stop school trips to local swimming pools (cost of transport/staff/pool staff)
(Thatcher) Stop school team building type stuff, start divide and conquer the lower class bring in et tu brute

It's only us older folk who can remember them days, and they have dropped the age for voting now, and the younger voters don't know anything about what went on back then?
