PM Presses Case For RAF Strikes In Syria
Well it will not stop at Syria and it may stars small but it will escalate, it will end with us having to use all the weapons in our disposal.

Well, we could swap the folk in old peoples homes with the inmates in jail.
The old folk would get three meals a day, free heating, free TV, free health and dental cover, and someone check in them every hour or so, have their laundry done free, and no need to worry about any bills.
But I don't think the inmates would go for it?

Prisoners yes there are some but social workers are to busy labeling people. Just in case the world realises there people who can just do without them. Or manipulate the system and control their input to get unpaid staff and fundraisers.
Or they just don't bloody want to! assisted by home shopping and medication delivery home for at least half is bliss there are just to many people about.
A laptop to comminucate scrounging interfering relatives to avoid. A decent intruder alarm with video surveillance and lots to keep you occupied.
Grandchildren are better kept away until they until they are house trained 21 is a perfect age. And before you comment DID YOU enjoy visiting your grandparents when you were little, see you just put up with it.
Prisoners but there are many many exceptions

Things are starting to develop the Turks and the US are starting a buildup of forces.
The PM stated British ground will inevitably have to be deployed, logically war is inevitable

Declaring war in the Middle East is a bit like prescribing antibiotics for a virus.

Ah but this a religious war the press will be calling it a crusade soon.
The Fifth Crusade started with a Popes plea to go to war against Muslim forces, and the first 4 were spread over 200 years here we go again.
now it's a Politicians plea to go to war against Muslim forces

Do you honestly believe that, Bob? I can't see it myself. Politicians want to isolate these people from their false claims of religion.
Basically, IS, like Al Qaeda before them, are people who want to control the oil wealth of Saudi Arabia.

Believe it more like half expect an escalation, the situation may develop an unstoppable momentum. Jihad is possible, we have a foe driven by a confidence that is fueled by religious fervor.
Call it what you will there is a religious tension this will be whipped up on both sides the press will do the job here and a hatred could well develop.
Its not what I believe as much as what is to be expected, remember how we got brainwashed during the cold war, reds under the bed.
This is different they are bringing the war to Europe it is a more dangerous situation.
Religious cleansing is what people fear and our leaders and the press will feed the flames. They need to justify themselves in order to take action.
The propaganda for WWI and II is grim and to the point, the popular press is just warming up with scare mongering reports.
You are a wise chap what do you think?

The 5th Crusade decisively brought an end to European power in the Mideast and supplied a powerful stimulus for voyages of discovery attempting to pioneer alternative trade routes to Cathay, colonialism and the rise of maritime mercantilism.
One of the unplanned by-blows was the bankrupting of Afghanistan, Afghanistan's central valley providing a critical link in the Old Silk Road.
Camel caravans simply couldn't compete with sailing ships either in carrying capacity or security.

Quote............."Possibly this PM sees himself as another Churchill "
Churchill was a "one of" and I think his best quote was,....."we might have won the war, but we have lost the peace"
Also,.....John Lennon wrote the the song Imagine, with the immortal line of,....."Imagine there's no heaven, and no religion too"
There is no way anyone can win a war against religious finatisim, where you are up against suicide bombers, and youngsters willing to die for the cause!
