That describes me pretty well also: friends with people on both sides of the dispute. Not always much fun. But it does feel good when I manage to help people make peace with each other!

I just feel relieved if I manage to get people to make peace...

Well, I think it is a good thing to happen, if people make up after having been fighting! Anyways.
So, have you been having a fun day online so far?

Ming Mang Posted Dec 1, 2001
It is a good thing, but still I only feel relieved...
It's been OK, yeah. Had to have a break for a driving lesson, though, which caused me to miss someone...
How's yours been?

Well, very pleasant, except that my access isn't always that fast, and my computer crashed when I became very busy. I installed MSN messenger and had a chat with two people, simultaneously (one in Kenya, the other in Denmark) right after installing it! Apart from that I've been doing research and writing entries here on DID and Schizophrenia. I learnt some interesting stuff!

You know, my computer hasn't actually crashed today! Yet...
Oh! You have MSN? Cool! Do you want my address for it?
How are you doing with the entries then?

Yes, I won't mind getting your address! You can email it to me! I'll email you mine, the hotmail one.
So congratulations on your computer not crashing! Mine usually crashes several times a day. You'd think with the money some people make from computer operating systems, that those operating systems would actually *work* ...
How'm I doing with the entries? Well, you can have a look... they're mainly still at the stage of being collections of links. I *read* all those links, though, plus many other ones I eventually decide not to add, so I'm getting very clever!

Oh yeah ... how's it going with the driving lessons?
You Are Loved Ming Mang
Ming Mang Posted Dec 1, 2001
Cool, I'll go and do that!
Yeah, so does mine... And yes, you would think they would make them work, but no, they can still make millions of pounds/dollars/whatever if it doesn't work...
Excellent, I'll go and have a look soon.
And the driving lessons are going fine. My instructor appeared to be very pleased today because I stopped suddenly on a junction because a car appeared, and he hadn't had to use his controls.

Right, I'll send you mine in just a while. MSN messenger at least seems to be a bit *quicker* than h2g2, or email, for chatting!
So, you have an *instructor* for learning to drive? Mostly, when I learnt, it was my mum or dad. I eventually went with an instructor, only for a total of three or four lessons, to make sure I would pass the practical driving exam. And your instructors have *controls*? I can't even remember if mine did. I know if he had, then he never needed to use them!

I've tried to add you, but it says you haven't got it yet... anyway, I've sent you my address.
Yeah, having an instructor is a lot cheaper than insurance for learner drivers on a car. And plus neither parent either wants to teach me or has the time... and yes, they have a brake and clutch pedal. Just in case.

So you need to take out extra insurance on your car if you're a learner driver? That's not necessary here.

Ming Mang Posted Dec 2, 2001
Yeah, and it costs absolutely loads...
Hmm.. maybe I ought to go over there to learn to drive...

Hey, it's rather funny to be conversting here and also on MSN messenger, isn't it?! But MSN messenger is at least a lot faster!
I agree, it might be cheaper to learn to drive here ... but you then have to add the cost of a plane ticket to the price as well!

The Willem Love Collective Posted Dec 2, 2001
I guess you can gather that was me!

I wonder how much a plane ticket costs? I am planning on visiting Britain someday!

It may be something like between five thousand and ten thousand rands ... which is a little bit less than half a thousand to a thousand pounds.
