Hello! Sorry for having neglected this thread for so long. How are you doing nowadays?

Nowadays I am fine. I've managed to get a job now, even if it does pay badly. Dad's got a job, which you know!
Erm. I've just started revising for the summer exams... booo... and... I think that's more or less it.

Very well thanks! Sometimes I feel a little down ... like now ... but overall I can't complain. You know I had a date last week ... and I have another one later this week! She invited me to dinner. Two of her sisters will be there ... I like them as well! It will be fun.

I'm working now on a *big* and very detailed painting ... a bit of a long-term project, for a change. The work's coming along well.

I'm also on a diet! I've lost about seven pounds so far. I'm aiming for a total of about thirteen. I'll be finished in two weeks' time ... then I can eat lots of nice goodies again, yumm!

What kind of job you have now?

The last time I lost any weight quickly I was ill - the worst I've ever been, I think. It was about this time last year, I got the 'flu and lost half a stone in three days.

I w*rk in a newsagents, which also sells other stuff. Sweets, maps, stationary, that sort of 'stuff'. I w*rk in the mornings Saturday and Sunday.

Hello! How big? About 2ft x 18' - not *that* big, but big for me. It's not so much the size as the detail. It's of a baobab tree.

I guess you lost weight from dehydration! I can do that ... I once lost eleven pounds in less than twelve hours. But I try to stay well-hydrated when dieting, so the weight loss is only of fat and a bit of intestinal content.

Well, good luck with the job! The only 'job' I've ever had was working in a gym, from about 1994 to 1995. Now I try and make money by painting, and by selling trees.

I'll talk again soon! I'm not getting online much lately.

Hello! It takes me a bit long, but I do get around to answering!

OK ... my paintings are usually about half that size ... about eighteen by twelve inches.

And I'm now finished with the diet! I lost a total of thirteen pounds in three weeks. Now I can eat lots of tasty stuff again, yay!

So how are you getting on with your job? And what else is happening?

That's OK! You take as long as you need.

Ahh. You know, they look like they're a lot bigger from the pictures of them you've put online. I think it's because of the detail, but whatever it is, they do look like they're bigger than that.

My job... well, we've now finally got a permanent manager! But they really don't pay enough. Never have done. Stingey lot. Hopefully I'll be getting another job cleaning at the school... other than that, not a lot is happening. I'm revising for my exams now...

You know, I have an art exhibition coming up in two months! My father as well. Between us I guess we'll have fifty or sixty pieces. I'm looking forwards to that, and working hard!

The collection of animals is gradually growing still... *sigh* We'll have rodents coming out of our ears soon...
However, they are cute... Mum bought some very fine sand today for the gerbils - we've given some to some gerbils in a bowl and they love rolling in it!

I like gerbils a lot! Why don't you take some pictures of them and put them online (unless you have already ... have you?)

Yeah, the exhibition ... I'm going to make it all into a 'virtual' exhibition as well - upload all of me and my dad's pictures that we're going to display onto my site. My dad has some neat stuff ... and some of mine aren't so bad either.

Well, I hope you manage to do a lot better in the maths! And everything else.

Happy to hear about the flute! Music is nice. I'm listening to a lot of it nowadays ... I find it very pleasant to listen to CD's while I paint. You say you don't like *listening* to music as much as making it? Probably with reason ... Unfortunately, I won't be able to *make* music while I'm painting!

The gerbils just won't keep still enough! Apart from that, I don't have a camera that works... my mum does, but I can't really use it...

Hopefully I will... although I'm still struggling with a lot of it... the modules I did in January seem to be growing easier, but I won't be sitting them until next January - I should find them pretty easy then!
