According to the 606 Message Boards, at least I'm being vaguely realistic. It's amazing how much gets talked about a couple of paragraphs when I've got all these Guide Entries which are virtually unread.

It was a fill-in-and-send-off form on the BBC Football website a while ago.

Well, if I can do it anyone can smiley - ok

Nice one, at least you're well informed. The Argyle 'fan' that did ours was talking about our Hungarian midfielder Akos Busazaky as a striker, and seemed to think he was still on loan when we'd actually signed him at the beginning of the summer... smiley - weird

The Sheffield United fan has obviously been on the happy pills. He's predicting an optimistic finish of first, and a realistic finish of second.

Preston fan reckons Leeds will win the league. Possibly because we keep stealing Preston players and he's confused about who he actually supports... So what does everyone reckon their respective club's chances are?

I think Everton will finish 6th or 7th. We'll be below Liverpool and Newcastle, and possibly Bolton as well as`the three who beat us last year.

I seriously fancy Bradford to make the play-offs.

(Oh, thanks, smiley - nurse. Could I have a glass of water to wash them down with, please? smiley - winkeye)

3rd place by October, which we'll hold all the way to April, after which we'll start to slide down the league.

It'll be 6th place finish and we'll be successful in the play-offs.

I think we might make the playoffs this year... But I'm not certain.

I've commented on Bradford's last season and their prospects for the coming one in the annual 'When Saturday Comes' pre-season club-by-club predictions, featured in an issue that I understand reached subscribers today. I've predicted that we'll win a cup-tie this season - which may be a bit reckless of me, as we haven't won a game in any Cup competition since 2001, and last season lost home ties against Rushden, Notts County and - er - Accrington Stanley. smiley - blush
