Having managed to invent and popularise a Plymouth Argyle chant, I thought I'd have a go at introducing a new word to the English language.
It is used (of course) to describe a particularly audacious or skilful act, in the style of a certain striker from the Ivory Coast.
Indeed, Egon's outbidding me to sign the man himselph right phrom under my nose in Phantasy Phootball could be repherred to as drogbacious...

Actually I quite like your "phrom", it's from, but posher somehow
You can lose "himselph" though, I don't like that at all.

i'd wait until he starts chalking 'em up!
i saw plenty of both drogba and cissé last season; the word that's really missing from the language is djibrillistic!

yes, much better!
you may be interested that besides the 26 he did score last year (drogba: 18) he had 2 disallowed; no foul, offsides or anything; the referee just felt it wasn't fair for someone to be THAT good!
just kidding! but the one he put in at lyon we're still trying to figure out.

With hindsight it looks like "Drogbacious" beat "Djibrilliant".
Lord only knows what made me think of this thread....

it seems an interesting flash from the past, seeing the disparity of the fortunes of the two players... but there's no telling what cissé could have done if he hadn't broken both bones in both legs.

"Ach! Thread revival!
What made you do it, man?"
Maybe he was particularly inspired by seeing Drogba's near post header against Everton on match of the day, where he got away from some Lescottish man marking?

...which was cancelled out by a piece of Cahillian brilliance.

Gravesonian: resembling a nightclub bouncer. Or Lee Carsley.
Teveztuous: the nature of one who causes a massive fuss, largely affecting people from Yorkshire.
Key: Complain about this post
