A VSC Poll - Be Honest!
Otto Fisch ("Stop analysing Strava.... and cut your hedge") Posted Dec 19, 2006
After Everton's game against Chelsea at the weekend I think I might have to revise my view on this one. How Mourinho can criticise an opposition player for diving when two of the worst offenders in the premiership play for Chelsea I really have no idea.
Having looked at the replays, Johnson was pushed in the back - though probably not enough to warrant a penalty, and clearly dived over the keeper who had come rushing out to avoid a dangerous collision where he had no chance of getting the ball. He didn't appeal, no player appealed for a penalty. He didn't go down as if poleaxed or tripped.
Utter nonsense from Mourinho, and an absolute disgrace.

Yeah I think that "Thw SPecial One" really ought to apologise over that.

As a Liverpool fan I haven't totally given up yet (if West Ham can beat Man U then there's still hope, maybe), but, being realistic, that's a really difficult question.
I much prefer Mourinho over Ferguson, but factoring Abramovich and ridiculous amounts of money into the equation puts the whole thing in Man U's favour, I think. So I think I'd go with them winning if I had to. Although, to be honest, I think that's biased by wanting to see how Chelsea and Mourinho react to losing!

Hmmm yes well that could be pretty interesting I have to say. But I live in Devon, so you can imagine how many smug Man U fans there would be around if they won....

What d'you mean "now" Im a baggie, Ive always been a baggie. I went to Albion Junior School the little school that used to be just across the road from the Hawthorns and then mt secondary school was just behind that. Much as it says in Frank Skinner autobiography, "It says on my birth certificate that: 'I was born in West Bromwhich General Hospital, in the district of West Bromwhich, In the County Borough of West Bromwhich' Oh alright! I'll be a blooody Albion fan then!"
That plus the fact that loads of my family lived on Albion road, there was never any hope of anyother outcome.

Well, as a fellow Liverpool fan I feel duty bound to point out that we are about to be taken over by someone who makes Roman Abramovich look poor. Not that I'm complaining...

Yes... I did wonder about mentioning that. I don't know much about the takeover and where they made their money, and I hope they made it in less dubious circumstances than Abramovich.

I have a deep, abiding and longstanding loathing for Sir Alex so despite the fact I much prefer to watch the exciting style of Man U rather than Chelsea, I'd rather see Chelsea win again. But the sooner Arsenal are once again genuine contenders the better!
