A VSC Poll - Be Honest!
Mu Beta Started conversation Dec 16, 2006
The Premiership is quite clearly going to come down to a struggle between the country's two most despised clubs.
Assuming that Liverpool are out of the race and that ManUre or Chelski is a foregone conclusion, who you would you be least disgusted to see win?
My vote, as an unashamed admirer of Giggsy, goes to Sir Alex and his boys.

I'd agree. I certainly don't hate Man U, but I despise Chelsea.

Can i take the 5th on this one?
Or is it a choice between wanting to preserve my teams record as the last one to win 3 in a row or... ?
Neither?
Portsouth to win...

Hmmm... tricky one that.
I think on the balance of probabilities what I would like is for Chelsea to win it on goal difference with the last kick of the season. Then for Putin to catch up with Abramavich's dodgy dealings and for the money to go phut the very next week.
And NO to Pompey scum under any circumstances

I think Chelski could win the league for a 100 years and if it went down to them and Man U I owuld still hope for a Chelski win.
For shame Ferrettbadger.... How can you be so blinded by hatred.....

As resident fan of the "Red Scum", i've gotta admit i would like Man U to win.
As a realist, once Giggsy, Scholesy, Sahasy and Rooneysy get crocked, as will inevitably appen, Chelski will probably win by about 4 points at the end of the season.
But i would LOVE IT if we beat them, LOVE IT!

It's a very tough one. I suppose I should really dislike Chelsea much more - their arrogance and hubris really dwarfs anything that Man Utd have come out with over the years. The Imperial Lord Ferg's disgraceful allegations about the Champion's League draw being fixed are just dwarfed by Chelsea's 'tapping up'.
But it's difficult to set aside the years of plastic 'megastore' fans, fawning media, Clive Tyldsley, self-righteous ranting, Mike Riley, and, of course, Ronaldo.

Due to my strange upbringing, I'm going to have to back the Red Scum.
Why? Well, being a Mancunian born and bred, most of my friends growing up were ManUre and the first football match I ever went to (my uncle took me, I was seven and I hated it) was ManUre vs Moscow Torpedo* so my hatred of Mr. Glazer's franchise doesn't run as deep as many Leeds fans.
Added to that, my dad instilled a deep seated hatred of Chelski into me as a child (some kids were sung lullabies about piglets and suchlike, I got "Shoot the Chelsea Scum, Shoot the Chelsea Scum.") so I despise those southern Mafia-run more than anyone else on the planet.
*It was either that or go to my nan's, as my mum and dad were both at Leeds vs Stuttgart.

I would support the Adolf Hitler Select XI against the cheating cockney scum.
Can I add this is not a recent thing, but a long standing and abiding hatred of Cheatski.
There was the LeSaux hand ball, the Hasselbaink dive to get a 17 year old sent off on his debut, all the way back to a Harris off-the-ball elbow.

I've just realised, now that C*****a have gained three points, how much I fxxking despise them. Please God, even if they win the League, don't let them win the Champions' League.

I hate Man U much more than Chelsea.
Sir Alex I'm too great to talk to the BBC, Ronaldo, Torquay Reds. All that stuff.

Really?
You can read cant you? I think the table makes it pretty clear that Liverpool wont really be contesting the league this year....

It's a bit like choosing between toothache and backache, isn't it? There's so much to despise about ManUre: the long-distance 'fans' who couldn't find Old Trafford with an atlas and a copy of the Manchester A-Z, Ferguson and the self-righteousness and paranoia that makes him think that talking to Sky is OK but talking to the BBC isn't, 'Come On You Reds' with Status Quo... I could go on and on. But I'd still just about prefer them to beat diving Drogba, thuggish Terry and all of Chelsea's questionably acquired money, if only to prove that the national title isn't quite up for auction like an item on eBay.
The Premiership mostly bores me, though. I really just cheer on the interlopers who crash the rich men's party, like Reading, Wigan and... OK, Deskmeister... Sheffield United.

I would like ManU to win not because over the years I have come to hate ManU anyless but because in pretty short order I have come to hate Chelski more.
I think I have the question that sets them up as (for me the most hated team of all), put in the teams that are significant to you.
If Cheslski?ManU put the Baggies out of the FA would you still want Wolves to beat them in the next round?
For me the answer that yes I would even want the dirty, dingle, dog-head scum from tatter town to beat the team that put us out of the FA cup and give them years of crowing over us would still be worth it if they put Chelski out but not Fergies lot says how deep my hatred is. This is mostly because they have widened the gap between football as a money fuelled soap opera and football as a sport
