for an angry 19-year-old chav who never got any proper schooling, has spent his whole life on playgrounds glorified or otherwise, has had a ton of money and fame thrown at him, i think he's turned out as well as one could expect.

He's one who had better get better. I'd hate to think of England playing in the last 16 of the World Cup, and he gets himself sent off with half an hour played.

I've looked at his stats, and his disciplinary record has been consistently awful right from his debut.
2002/03 - 1 red and 8 yellow in 40 games
2003/04 - 13 yellow in 63 games
2004/05 - 8 yellow in 49 games
2005/06 - 1 red and 2 yellow in 9 games.
Gary Lineker he ain't...
