I'm priviledged to be living in the EU, which has ratified the UN convention, added a few rights of its own, and backed it up with the "European Court of Justice", which has real teeth. It's a pleasant thought that a new Hitler couldn't get very far without having his country chucked out of the EU, and the economic ramifications of that are probably enough to put a severe damping on the idea.
If only the UN had some teeth too, and World Peace could become frightning close to reality. Oh well - I can dream, right?

The UN does have teeth - USA, Russia, Britain, France, and China.
Unfortuanately, all teeth cut different ways.
