From a recent conversation with a French friend of mine, she handn't a clue what a parsnip was. Nobody there knows anything about parsnips!

The French couldn't so stupid. I can only think there is a terrible lack of knowledge on how to prepare these -Mmmm parsnips- yummy scrummies.
Roast it is, and preferable with the meat. Mind you garlic and olive oil sounds intersting....

I think the french call them "Panais" but I could be wrong.
