Ok somehow my BBCi ID is not linked to my hootoo ID so guess what this ain't me but is the 3rd account I have set up in the last 5 minutes.

I wonder if this is related to the fact that the old system was case sensitive but the new system isn't. So if you (or indeed someone else) had a BBCi account with the same ID but with different capitalisation the other account would have 'nabbed' the ID leaving your normal h2g2 account high and dry.
