The north wind blows cold
Reddened leaves rustle and fall
Where has summer gone?

Brown leaves on the ground
Despite the lack of night frost
Mystified am I

When the white eagle of the North is flying overhead
The browns, reds and golds of autumn lie in the gutter, dead.
Remember then, that summer birds with wings of fire flaying
Came to witness spring's new hope, born of leaves decaying.
Just as new life will come from death, love will come at leisure.
Love of love, love of life and giving without measure
Gives in return a wondrous yearn of a promise almost seen.
Live hand-in-hand and together we'll stand on the threshold of a dream.

Oh (again?) Ti - I was wrestling one with brown leaves on the ground as well. Got a little too tacky towards the end so I laid it aside. Wonder if I can make one sufficiently different now?

But where do they fly?

Supple leaves of spring
Bringing beauty to the land
Dry and lifeless now

Trees - red, yellow, green
Bathed in rays of golden sun
Such fleeting beauty

Just a reflection (!) of this morning's fabulous sunshine.
