He doesn't look right. Or is it just me?
He looks way too young.
I can't believe Christopher Ecclestone only did one season. He was so good as The Doctor.

I think DT does look a bit young, but having seen him in Casanova I totally think he can pull it off. In fact I think he will succeed in continuing the Doctor in the style that CE did simply by bringing in some of the characteristics of the way he did Casanova. He may prove me wrong, in which case I will eat my tardis!

I think it may be the fact that everyone thought he was such a great Doctor that scared Ecclestone off...
I wonder if the extinction of the Timelords means that the Doctor won't be bound to 9 regerations...

NPY Posted Jul 24, 2005
I heard something about that! Sopmething like that coz all the other Time Lords were dead, the Doctor got all their regenerations as well as his own. Hope he doesn't die anyway.
I'm hoping this new Doctor prooves me wrong and is actually really good at it.

Maybe I'll be proved wrong but I think David Tennant will be brilliant as The Doctor, he's able to bring the right amount of humour to the part. Though admittably Christopher Eccleston is a hard act to follow.

I'm totaly confident!! I read an interview and he seems like such a sweet funny guy!! (I'm a girl i can say that!) Also he's a Doctor who fan so thats a good thing. He has a very good idea of whats expected, i think he definatly needs our suport, after all he is the new Doctor, we should all be encourgeing him!! The show lives our dies by its lead actor.

True. If he wasn't a fan, it wouldn't work. And if he's no good the show dies.

Just three words: i was right!
kidding! But he is amazeing, i think he has got the part nailed. He IS the Doctor without a doubt. For me it seems very natural, less acting invlolved more instinct, he's very talanted. I think he may well go down as one of the most succesfull and wonderfull Doctor's we have ever had. I really do like him incase that point hasn't been ittereated enough. I like that he's diffrent from Eccelston but not in a self concious fashion (Like the whole tom baker - peter davidson thing), though i still see a little of Eccelston which i find nice.

I thought it was a shame that the episode was written in a way that meant he spent half the episode in bed doing nothing although I can see that that also allowed him to be introduced a little more gradually, it may have helped the audience accept him. Overall though he was brilliant, he seemed to really enjoy playing the part and that always comes across well. Can't wait for the new series!

It's a trick they've done before - Spearhead from Space and Robot both did that - but y'know what the effect was? Every character had practically begged for the Doctor's help, so that by the time he woke up properly you *really* wanted him to turn up. It was such a marvellous tease.

Yeah. Think it kinda made you want to see him wake up and save the day.
Can't believe that stupid PM blew up the aliens. But I suppose it means that there'll be a revenge story or something.
