Methinks Mr. Timelord might be better off buying a motorcycle to run around town too, when he's not using his Tardis!

You would never get me on a bike i have seen to many friends hurt on them and it's never there fault.
When i was just about 6 we had a family friend who was a hell's angel someone opened there car door as he was passing he broke both arms but had them set so he could still ride his bike with the pots on.

LOL! That must have been a site (and rather uncomfortable).
My hubby has three bikes, but none of them are on the road although there's nothing wrong with them. He just likes playing at "doing things" to them! Perhaps I should buy him some K-Nex or Lego instead.

Joe was just the same but he made it pay he got a job working doing repears for garage's then set up on his own the last time i saw him he had just spent £500,000 on his new farm house and was spending £200,000 doing it up befor moving in he had just sold the firm he started so payed cash he is now second in charge of the firm that bought is firm and still owns the buildings which he rents to them.
he once striped a bike down and rebuilt it then entered it in a show it won first prize so he sold it(this was before he got his first job so he needed the money) the bike won over 55 shows after he sold it.

I don't suppose you remember what make/model it was?
Poor John had to sell his Norton Commando that he'd restored when we were short of cash one time... He still pines for his "baby".

I have no idea what make it was to start with but in the end it was a joe because he rebuilt it he even payed for an artist to paint the fuel tank which is why he had to sell it to pay him.
P.S. I have a helmit you might like its a world war 2 dispatch riders helmit dated 1944 i was told about 15 years ago it was worth £50-£100 pounds

The helmet sounds great! You should look after it as it's probably highly collectable by now and worth a lot more than it was 15 years ago.
John's hoping to get his Kawaski on the road next week, hopefully so we should be out having some fun during the day and pretending we're "young" again, before the kids are home from school for their summer holidays. I'll have to stay home once the kids are off school... It's been years since I've been on the back of a bike for any length of time and am so looking forward to it!

You could try taking the kids on push bikes its not the same i know but if you pick a nice place just a few miles away im sure they would take it easy on an old timer like you(ha ha)

This old timer could hack a cycle ride but my kids couldn't!
My daughter has outgrown her bike and my son has also outgrown his. I only have one of those awfully old bikes that fold up and fits in a car boot! Unfortunately, as we're on income support, there's no chance of replacing the kids bikes (not with the sort they'd like anyway). Also, my son is autistic, so can't ride a bike safely.
What we need is a tandem or a three seater, like the Goodies had! I could then supervise the proceedings, keep an eye on my son and let the youngsters do all the hard peddling!!!
