I have an urge, but realise that this is neither the time nor place for that sort of thing, so instead would like to know whether you have to serve some sort of apprenticeship as a deputy sub-assistant community editor (second class) before being allowed to put those hallowed initials ACE after ones name? If not then I'd deem it an honour to be considered for duty.

Sorry that it has taken so long to get back to you all. We have been launching new schemes for h2g2, which you might be aware of. We are about to recruit new ACEs and I will be sending out an email this afternoon. So watch your login accounts.
Thank you for volunteering!

Abi,
My ACE shield has now appeared, so I assume that I'm a fully fledged ACE now, but can someone explain the details of my new email address to me please?
