How many clicks?
BluesSlider Posted Jun 7, 2000
This is obviously one of the 'improvements', HA! I can see this leading to a massive proliferation of very short threads. What about a 'click to see newest posts'? Is there a quicker way of getting here?
*Takes a doughnut and stomps off into the distance muttering darkly.*
*and* they lost my homepage, apart from the footnotes, which don't make much sense without the rest. mutter, mutter, mutter.
Oh isn't it strange.
Zak T Duck Posted Jun 7, 2000
It's almost but not quite exactly unlike h2g2.
*Gets a chocolate doughtnut and awaits the return of everyone else to tell them some good news*
Oh isn't it strange.
The Cheese Posted Jun 7, 2000
Is it me or does this mean an end to the Doughnut Stall?
Oh isn't it strange.
Zak T Duck Posted Jun 7, 2000
We won't let something like this stop us.
Perhaps if enough of us kick up a fuss about it they'll change it back
The clock's wrong again, it's saying my last post was an hour ago when it was less than ten minutes
Oh isn't it strange.
Superdreamer Posted Jun 7, 2000
If anybody would like to here some "potential" good news, I think that this new format might be easier for my slow computer at home to handle. But for my work one it's a pain in the a***
Oh isn't it strange.
Zak T Duck Posted Jun 7, 2000
Are you viewing in the new format, or are you still using goo? Albaster (or whatever it is called) is very strange, sort of like a different website even
Oh isn't it strange.
J'au-æmne Posted Jun 7, 2000
TPTWVH say there'll be a link to the newest post in a thread. Until then. who thinks its a good idea to start up Mt Sandcastles Continually moving donut stall (1) and then anyone who's the twentyfirst should start a new forum and increment the number? I can't think of a better way...
Donuts anyone???
The Cheese Posted Jun 7, 2000
Please hand me a Chocolate DNA for my troubles, I hit the 'click to see newer posts' button 10 times and I'm not leaving without a doughnut .
Donuts anyone???
J'au-æmne Posted Jun 7, 2000
*hands out all requested donuts*
*looks very very jealous*
*plans on moving the stall... soon...*
Donuts anyone???
The Cheese Posted Jun 7, 2000
May I suggest calling it "Mt. Sandcastle's Ripley-fied Doughnut Stall"?
I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit...it's the only way to be sure.
Donuts anyone???
Eomando (it is it is it is 2 years now!!! 8-) ) Posted Jun 8, 2000
LOL
Oh my...I can't believe how long it's been since I've been here...that's what exams do to you...
...my page was lost completely yesterday... ...but it's back now...well...sort of...
*takes an EBA seeing as how she took out her who's online thing just to be sure her page didn't complain because of it & so she doesn't know if Joanna's here or not until she puts a new one in...*
...and I don't like the way the preview & post message buttons have been swapped round...I keep clicking the wrong one...
Donuts anyone???
Cidhis - Mask Posted Jun 8, 2000
me too, and I have only been on h2g2 a couple of weeks.
I can't tell which skin I like better though
the blue one had more class, despite it's unfortunate name "goo" is not a very good description
I think I'll go for a BLUEberry donut to show my affiliation to the old style
Donuts anyone???
J'au-æmne Posted Jun 8, 2000
*looks apologetic* Netscape must've crashed before it had finished posting the link...:-(:-( http://www.h2g2.com/F26840?thread=56460 :-( I'm really sorry...:-(
