*Quick tidy up. Washes dishes, plumps up the cushions, and lays out todays newspapers. Replaces filters in the IIEM, sweeps and mops the floor, ready for another day at The Aroma Cafe*
Right! *throws open the door to the Cafe*
Welcome once again one and all to the Aroma Cafe.
The IIEM is on, the coffee is hot,
and the conversation is always interesting!
*grabs freshly brewed Special and sits down for a quick game of scrabble with Ook*

Oh well, time to go home. Come on Ook, you ready to go?
*puts sign up*
Welcome Caffeine Hunter. There is nobody here
to personally serve you at the moment, but the
famous IIEM will happily oblige in catering for
your thirst requirement. Ask and it shall appear.
~The Summer Caretakers
Right, Ook, we are off. Lets go buddy.
*exit stage left followed by orangutan*

*BS wanders in to the shiney new thread and admires Babel-17's handy-work*
Nice . A double espresso, please IIEM.
*Takes coffee from the IIEM and goes to sit in a corner with the newspaper. Checks around for No Smoking signs, sees none and lights the first Marlboro of the day.*

A bad back
Let's see, I am learning how to use Poser, Knockout, Bryce and Dreamweaver 3, as well as a new plugin for Photoshop. I don't use Photoslop for much, but it is indispensable as a host for special effects that don't work in Painter, my prime ott medium.
I also spend a lot of time here.

*Strange new guy walks in. Walks up to the counter and orders a Coke.*
Hello. I'm new around here and I wanted to
come see what's going on in this lively place.
Nice place. Where can I find the nearest hotel?
I'm thinking of getting my own place
And settleing down here.

Jay Ray, welcome on in! We don't always have counter staff in, but this thing, which is an IIEM (Infinite Improbability Espresso Machine) makes just about anything on self-service mode.
*pours out a Coke over ice*
-----> There you go.
I'm Lil and I'm one of the summer caretakers for the cafe, as Irving Washington is off on a post-exam road trip.
What sorts of things are you interested in, Jay? Cos I can tell you a bit about where different kinds of things are happening. There's a crowd for just about every taste. Kind of an Ankh-Morpork without the crime and grime.
Oh, the sloth in the cage over there is my pet, Mindspring. And the orangutang setting up the scrabble board over there is Ook. He busses tables.

*wanders in with a slightly worried expression on his face, which soon evaporates on seeing Ook*
Hey guys.
Ook. There you are! I was worried when you didn't come back earlier.
Vlad would never forgive me if you got lost!
*helps self to Cappucino. Ook waves scrabble bag at B-17*
Ok, ya big lunk. But just a quick game.
*joins Ook at table, proceeds to pull out 7 tiles from the bag*

*wakes up looks around, readjusts self at table, gets a cup of tea*
Ahhhh, sleep always seems to help after 36 hours of coding, I can't figure it out but it seems to be a pattern
Greetings all.

Thanks for the c)~( of tea
*gets some milk adds just the right amount, leans back and sips with a look of utter contentment on his face*
Oh and Babel, I too have started the Unofficial welcoming I'm also going to start giving them a posting to the BooK NooK, for some reason it seems to have dried up and I'm awfully fond of the place

I do love it too. I was doing it for a while before my RL got in the way. Now that life has settled it's fun to do again.
As for not being on my page, I'm rather certain that I ask to be notified if you want to be on it
I will put you on right now
