It's quite amazing how people, just certain people, can actually start going back to ways that things were done in the past. Great things for a community, not so good on a national or global scale.

You do things to get things. Like trading. Everyone gets something if they have something to give. Like on the playground with your toy cars, action figures, or cards. You want something so you give something.
Try it? I want to live it. I think I'd do better in a place where people exchange rather than take. Everyone has something to give - be it just time.

The clever trick is NOT to barter. This is why it is a bit different. You invent a currency and agree to accept it instead of goods or cash in return for what you have. Then when you find someone offering what you want you spend your points.
America does over $20 billion per year in commercial barter which uses a system such as this.
