I got to see one of my poems performed on stage last weekend. It was pretty cool. For pictures and more, please visit my blog at http://denver.yourhub.com/Parker/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Literature/Poetry/Blog~181681.aspx
Thanks for the read.

Affy,
Thanks for checking it out!
A couple weeks ago, I had new poets workshop a draft of my poem I wrote about Robin ... I've revised it but it needs a few months to sit before I workshop it again ...
I've not forgotten you are interested.

Yay!
The other day I actually wrote a poem. That doesn't happen often, I'm more of a short story/stage play person.
But for some reason I just really *really* wanted to write a quick poem about the four unsolved PXC puzzles. I like how it turned out, but it looks a little...off at the moment. Not sure what's wrong with it.
I've found something wonderful, though. A poem that provides a literal description of a PXC card sounds so strange that it looks very much like it's rich with symbolism, even if it's not.

Perplex City Puzzle Cards. Each card has some sort of riddle, puzzle, challenge, maze, or trivia quiz on it. They range from super easy (matching dinosaur names to dinosaur shadows or passing an Ishihara eye test) to super hard (cracking RSA5 Encryption via world-wide cooperation between computers working in tandem or a world-wide game of hide-and-seek to locate a single person out of the billions covering the planet.)

Hi Pierce.
You're not too stupid to not be able to find my poems. I keep most of them off of the internet. You can find a handful of my best work here, though: http://www.geocities.com/coloradopoets/tabithadial.html
I'm very grateful that you want to read my work so much that you've posted a request.
You guys are gear.

I've only ever met two published poets. One went to Boulder, Colorfado a couple decades ago to teach, and the other was a film director who wrote poetry on the side, though he will be reading his poetry in Boulder, Colorado next Thursday.

Possibly. Cool nature often seems to make people feel more poetic.

Katherine Lee Bates had this to say about about her trip up Pike's Peak:
"One day some of the other teachers and I decided to go on a trip to 14,000-foot Pikes Peak. We hired a prairie wagon. Near the top we had to leave the wagon and go the rest of the way on mules. I was very tired. But when I saw the view, I felt great joy. All the wonder of America seemed displayed there, with the sea-like expanse."
That gave her the inspiration for the poem that would become the song "America the beautiful." I think it ranks right up there with the best poetry. Set to music, it's dynamite!

Pierce, none of those poems were read at the event. The one read at the event isn't one I'm seeking to publish. But if you like, I can send you a copy if you e-mail me at tgdial at aol dot com (Yes, Mods ... I know I'm giving out my e-mail).
Thanks for sharing the e-mail about Pike's Peak, Paul. It's a pretty cool place.

Some climbers had to be rescued from Mount Hood recently.
Experienced climbers have been known to die on Mount Washington.
When in doubt, postpone your climb until conditions are favorable.
