Mad Link of the Whenever: The Impossible Quiz Deluxe Edition

Saw this linked in a few of my other haunts, so I thought I'd share this. It's a flash based quiz where you simply click on the the answer. Despite the name it is possible, just as long as you apply warped and twisted logic. Most of you should be at home there then smiley - winkeyesmiley - run

OK...before this takes up all my life, can you tell me how many questions there actually are?

I tried it, but It's just getting on my nerves. For example: "The answer is really big" apparently means you click the infinity symbol, not the words "really big" or the word "answer" written really big. Why?

Because the others aren't the answer?

Why not? Twisted logic is one thing, but this seems arbitrary.

Besides I don't think infinity is truly really big. A googolplex is really big. Infinity is unending, so beyond big.

Which is why the answer is Elephant

smiley - doh Okay, I got the wrong one as the actual answer, but I still don't see what rules out the other two.

Think about it, answer is just written large. Infinity is as you've already said immeasurable and really big is lying because it isn't. Ergo an elephant must be the answer.

smiley - ermsmiley - headhurts No. Don't see how "really big" is lying.

Compare it to answer, which is bigger? We've already decided answer isn't the answer so really big can't be either.

Nah, that's not making sense. After all, "an elephant" is written small as well. Once you've decided that it's not the size of the lettering that counts (in dismissing "answer") how can you bring it back in to dismiss one of the other options?

That is wonderfully scarily addictive...

Although it could really do with some explanations once you get it right - there's a few questions where I only know the answer through trial and error, and I'd love to know the reasoning behind them.

Still, Question 42 rocks! smiley - towel
