Yes it's possible.
* You could define the whole thing in TABLE art but that would get very large.
* You could choose an existing picture of a shield, make it the BACKGROUND to a table cell and position some text (possibly with a BGCOLOR of its own to conceal the existing contents) over the top.
Shield possibilities:

Murray, you aren't - but the person who made posting no.2 is on pre-moderation.
The posting will show after it has been approved by one of the Moderators - as it indeed says in the posting right now...

OK, got the badge itself worked out, and will use it as a placeholder...now how do I go about recoloring and relettering?

Traveller in Time not saying it is a piece of cake
"Have a look at < A2186417 > and the code behind it: < <./>test2186417</.> >.
Take your time and do not be upset if it does not work in one go. It is possible! "

Traveller in Time not looking at the page
"Well, it is all part of a plan, I think.
Table Row, part of the TABLE TAG
Table Delimiter, think about it as the vertical lines in the table
& & probably part of the imagery, I use FONTs, SMILEYs images BACKGROUND (table art) all mixed together.
is a dummy tag, it is used to span over a block of something. Sometimes I use it for the attributes sometimes to prevent any spaces slipping inbetween characters. "

TD = Table Data (an ordinary data cell in the table)
TH = Table Header (a heading cell, typically put automatically in bold)
BGCOLOR = BackGroundCOLOuR (for a cell or row or whole table)
BACKGROUND = an image to use as the background

Traveller in Time (as 'Titania' anf 'SEF', not a GURU)
"I hardly ever use , it is kind of redundant (except for 'approved GuideML').
TH = Table Header
TR = Table Row
TD = Table Data
TH = Table Header
TR = Table Row
TD = Table Data
TH = Table Header
TR = Table Row
TD = Table Data
TH = Table Header
TR = Table Row
TD = Table Data
TH = Table Header
TR = Table Row
TD = Table Data
Seem such easy mnemonics, hope I will ever get them memorised "
