Having been struggling to try and learn to use GuideML for some little time today I found this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/hub/F94227?thread=249584 I think the second posting could be useful to many other hopeless cases like myself.

Traveller in Time smiley - tit 'one of the wise guys' not a <./>GURU</.> however
"I think both the thread and the entry explain a lot.

However how about starting to create an entry 'Shark 7' ?

There is nothing betetr to learnb something then experiment with it. You can use your Personal Space entry, but if you get it messed up it will still be your introduction smiley - smiley whereas just an entry does no harm to be a bit messy smiley - biggrin "

I am writing an entry "traveller in time" it will never be as good as I want it but I am researching and refining currently. I hope to (will) post within the next 2/3 weeks.

This is the afterword where I make excuses about pressure of work etc.

Just create the entry and start fiddling with it until you are confident with it, it is really not difficult, once you understand it is just a matter of opening and closing the tags in the right sequence smiley - biggrin.
Will find your work smiley - winkeye wrapped in t<./>info</.>il. "

Hi shark-7 smiley - smiley

If the Entry you are currently researching and writing is intended for Peer review and possibly for inclusion in the Edited Guide, you may find this page helpful:

Using Approved GuideML in the Edited Guide ~ A264520

As not all GuideML tags are used in Edited Entries. smiley - oksmiley - smiley

I only meant Entries intended for the Edited Guide TiT, any non approved GuideML tags will distract attention from the content of an Entry to the GuideML use in Peer Review, and if not removed by the author, will be removed by the Sub-editor or the Editors, before it gets to the Front Page, making the process unnecessary longer than it needs to be. smiley - oksmiley - smiley

In Entries not intended for the Edited Guide, you can experiment and play as much as you like with the GuideML tags. smiley - magic
