Shopping Carts

And how come whenever you go grocery shopping, you always wind up with
a) a shopping cart with at least one wheel that doesn't work
b) a shopping cart with wheels that work but one that insists on constantly squeaking
c) a shopping cart that INSISTS on constantly veering off to the left/right?

There's a new sub-section to this, since supermarkets started putting up notices saying 'Your trolley doesn't work..... ask a member of staff and they will replace it'. Why can you never find the member of staff responsible for replacing it (you are assured there is one, but he/she cannot be found, and no-one else has even seen the notice so can't help)?
I just send my trolley in circles until someone tells me to stop - it's more fun that way.
