Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Aug 12, 2005
Hi there!
It's a case of 'close but no cigar' I'm afraid... the Collaborative Writing Workshop is the place for ideas which the author would like to see make it into the Edited Guide but for whatever reason they don't feel they can complete themselves.
An update of the KJB with U2 and other bands doing the Psalms is an *interesting* idea to say the least but this isn't really the place for it... If you click on the little X next you the Entry title it will be removed from here, but will still exist in the Unedited Guide.

Undt no, it isn't just for entries that want to make it into the edited guide. Some bits from here have made it to the Front Page without ever passing PR.

Okay, my bad.
I still think the idea of a KJB2 is interesting but silly (as there are already innumerable Bibles out there, and KJB ain't exaxtly the most 'correct' version given that it was largely founded on the predjudices of King James I)... but to be honest I still don't think this is the right place for it as to do this properly would require a massive undertaking, a lot of space and a hell (pun intended) of a lot of time to actually put it together.

Ah, but having been responsible or part of a couple of "impossible" or at least difficult undertakings here in recent years, I should find this funner than most.
I was just trying to think about which book Harlan Ellison should paraphrase.
But I really think a reformed original version of Genesis should work on Deuteronomy.
