Today I'm number 1177, an excellent number.
Further to my email, I went and cancelled the tablet order at buy.com (still backordered) and bought one at microwarehouse. It should be here next Monday or Tuesday. So now I really need to get to work on those CD's
I think buy.com actually didn't want to sell me the tablet anymore because the price has gone up and they were more than $50 under the current street price. But still managed to find one that was about $30 cheaper.

Has 1177 got any significant meanings to it?
So, you're starting work on your compilation CDs now, eh? Cool. I been taping over the compilation tapes I did about a year or so ago...tastes have changed, y'know?
Go 4 cheap tablet, yeah, course
^.^

I like the doubling. And my birthday is November 7. Check your emails, I just fired off a question a few minutes ago. This CD creator app is so easy! But slow. I set up the copy and then I have to go away for an hour. I'm making it verify the copy which slows it down a lot. U will be up to your eyebrows in new sounds.

Received mail, fired off reply . I like it when I'm prompt.
I got a friend who has a CD copyer thing. He copies games and sells 'em to people. Which is illegal, eh? Fiend. And he's a clever kid too. Oooh, it makes me frustrated sometimes!
Need new sounds

I haven't been back there yet. I thought that rant was unadulrated immature shite, which is kinda why I've shied away from it.
And it gives me a nice fuzzy feeling to see Jinx's name in the recent forums. She ain't dead yet

The baby watch thread be dead anyway, because the page it was attached to is gone forever
Hevvy philosophy being talked about at the atelier, lotsa newbies strolling into the aroma cafe, and DNS errors and viruses all over tha place....

Been trying to get to ffmikes page...
Was it 6th or 7th conversation most recent @ the altier? I see the 6th conversation, and think "why are they carrying on that old thread?" Guess that fuckin' amnesia must be setting in

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 19, 2000
There ISN'T an ffMike page any more. He figured out a way to delete himself!
The Atelier conversations are in numerical order, of course. Why would I have the 7th one before the 6th, O Crazy One?

What, you mean totally gone? Vanished? I'll type in his homepage address in my broweser and get a "error" & white screen?
Turns out I hadn't posted in the 7th Son, but I'm certain I had. Oh well, two posts from me in an already massive conversation.
Think you've got another 'Roma Cafe on your hands here, in terms of big threads?

As regards my threads, I'm acting in my own best interests in these times when h2g2 can be so difficult to download. I watch the scrollbar on the right, and when the little box decreases to a certain size, then that's it.
My salon has made Busiest forum a few times, which I never expected! Cos we're not a large group. But we're all good friends. Did you see where Affi has brought Ampton upstairs again?
Meanwhile we've had some promising new visitors at the Cafe, particularly a fellow called redbeard who immediately understood how to participate in that kind of conversation.
I hear that Mrs. PM just had a baby.

Cherie Blair? Now that's news. I never knew about that. I'd noticed her face in the papers a bit over the past few days, but nothing clicked.
I've been talking about loadinbg time with somebody else. Strangely, saturday is the fastest day for h2g2, while weekdays are remarkably slow. Isn't that odd?

She (Mrs. Blair) has been in court the past few days, arguing for extended family leave for new parents, but they reckon Tony will opt out
I think the net is sluggish on weekdays because of bidness. Lots of people doing bidness (that's how the yocks pronounce it around here) on the net, lots of daytraders and stockbrokers. And I suspect that in England, lots of people do internet at work because they can't afford to run up the phone bills at home.
Russell Crowe is just amazing, man.

Russel Crowe = da Gladiator!
Yeah, he was awesome. Great acting stuff. I'd always thought of acting as just relaying words of a script and doing stuff like your character would. Even with that cynical approach, you can't help but be impressed by that dude
Guess which Gladiator actor was in The Secret Of NIMH
Hmmm, yeah, late workers going online would be right, but liie I said, they'd be working fairly late, wouldn't they? Considering I only go on from 6-10pm.

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 21, 2000
Yeah, but bidness men are communicating between UK and US via demon.net, which is the carrier that h2g2 lives on. And a lot of routine diplomatic stuff goes on the net, too. So bidness is working from the beginning of your time zone to the end of ours.
Who was in NIMH? How do you know all this stuff? How come Derek Jacobi never ages?

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 21, 2000
By the way, you've been cast in the H2G2 movie by Necro.

Very very cool. I love that line. I pull of subtle wit like that...when it's cool, basically . I so much love that
I see you remember our good friend Jonathan. Talking about Jonathan...
Del Jacobi was Nicodemus in SoN. I saw his name in a programme for Gladiator, and just blurted out in front of five friends: "He's in The Secret Of NIMH!" And to confirm it, it said so in the margin...
