Do you get teased about your love of furry things?

Are you on rationed time again?
I followed one of your threads -- you found a funny and interesting German (not that this is necessarily unusual).

When I mention the furry stuff, sometimes the unenlightened ones go "oh Atkin's on about bloody NIMH again". These are always the kids with skateboards. Coincidence?
Yeah, I think I'll be watching how much I go online this week. Plenty of h/wk, and h2g2's a bit slow.
Englander is cool

h2g2 is positively flaky. I posted to a long cafe thread with no trouble just now. This one might take 10 minutes. It's unpredictable. You should check out the Atelier if you can -- we've been discussing your mosh pit plans.
You've found 2 Germans, actually -- Quietsch was the one I meant. They need to be brought in to the mainstream!
I'll email just before 10 pm your time.

h2g2 is running surprisingly fast at this time. And seeing that I've managed to get a lot of stuff off my back in a short time today, I have time to go online
I always go to the Altier when it appears on my list of forums - but I haven't had time to see them all. Will make a bee-line for it
Oh yeah, and Quietsch. I like him, but it still stands - Englander is cool
Have just received your email and am reading it inbetween loading times

Well, here I am on duty as the assistant caretaker for the Aroma Cafe and it's a completely quiet evening. Tomorrow morning first thing I'll be adding a new cartoon to http://www.h2g2.com/A366007. Meanwhile, I'm actually at a loose end, so I might as well study HTML some more. *yawns*

I don't get it *^_^*
I thought the 8th Altier conversation was a bit long, so I decided to wait until the 9th popsup. Could you please tell me when it does . Then I can tell you about my Swedish Mosh Pit, and how I intend to make it a reality

Are you kidding? You don't get it?
Am about to eat late lunch then go to the Post Office and mail two parcels to Plymouth. One is densely packed withgoodies, the other is a bboby prize, just has two manuals in it.

The cartoon has a double punchline: First is the anus in the middle of the highway, swallowing the car. Secondly is the sign "Last anus for 17 miles" and the caption 'Another victim of illiteracy' which implies that the anus in the road is the normal part, and the motorist is in trouble because he can't read, rather than that there is an anus in the middle of the road. Kliban cartoons are very surreal as you must have noticed with the tree dwellers. And they either grab you or they don't. BluesSlider apparently burst out laughing when he saw this one. There will be a new one tomorrow evening.

You have the backstory via email
I thought the image of you three doing a caveman version of Smoke on the Water (did you do harmony?) was screamingly funny. I am going to have to do something about this, because from what you say that is not the correct adult response.

Still don't quite get the cartoon
btw there's a rogue > on that page.
I've got the email, and will read it after I'm offline
As for harmonies...I think we just all did lead .

Well there's a new cartoon up today but you've seen it before -- the square wheels hauling the round wheels.
See you when you get online this evening your time

I's here. Miraculously for this hr of the day, I have a decent connection. I have read it all, and laughed ery hard. Your comedic timing is very good. Have you got ideas in your head how events might happen in the future? I think Affi does this, and I do too. It's not just conversation around here -- it's performance art!
You had a good day, detention and all?
