heheh. Now I see it too!
I looked and looked, and then suddenly the eye appears!! And my own eyes refocus. The tapir's been watching all along ..

That could have been an engraved picture, with a structure like that.

Those poor creatures are probably endangered like every other unusual or tasty wild animal on the planet.
