For me as a novice cook everything made sense apart from "In a medium bowl, whisk all the topping ingredients except the butter. Using a pastry cutter or two knives slice the butter (or a non-dairy alterative) until the mixture is crumbly." - I can't visualise this very well.

Is it that you mix the dry ingredients together and then put the butter on top of the dry mix so slicing the butter with two knives forces it into the dry mix and makes the dry mix clump together and become crumbly?

Yes, Sasha that is how to prepare a crumb topping for any dessert. I'll try to make that clearer.

This came out pretty well. Apple crisp is a good dessert on a cold day, and simple to make.

This sounds delicious and also easy enough so even I could cook it!

There's only one thing I noticed: I would give the metric thingy of butter in grams and not ml because you'd have to melt it to get into a measuring cup.

This sounds a delicious recipe and you've done well in adding metric measurements . I make a crumble in a similar way, except that the butter and flour are rubbed together like pastry, then sugar is added but no water.

In your third point, do you need the first 'In a large bowl'?
In the fourth point, it might be clearer to say 'slice the butter into the topping ingredients.'

Yes, the link would look good in the ingredients list on the line "6 cups of peeled, cored and sliced apples".
