Not the person who I wanted to break my .
He was in so many great comedy films, especially when teamed with Richard Prior, or Mel Brooks.
He was a one-off, and I hope the next generation can appreciate him the way the last two have.
He'll be missed.

Gary Sprake was prone to making the occasional bloomer.

I grew up listening to my father's avid support of Leeds United (from a distance, my parents had moved from Leeds to Cleethorpes-on-the-coast in the mid-fifties for the health of my older brother and she ended up giving birth to me the following year, Dad blamed the sea air) even after I went to bed I could hear him shouting at the tv and I remember Sprake was the brunt of his ire, along with Brian Clough. I particularly remember Sprake chucking the ball into his own net, but I don't have time to research the clip as I am already late for Mum duty

He had a really good innings. What a guy, irrespective of one's political beliefs.
90 years old and 50 at the helm! Amazing.

I think I will do some research, but it feels almost like cheating to just Google "celebrities with terminal illnesses"...

I'm not convinced it's the best tactic. Wilko Johnson thwarted me a while back (and I'm glad he did). They tend to keep these things to themselves - who knew about Bowie? Maybe a better tactic is to spot the ones who have dropped off the radar for a few years.
