Ah, the 6th of June is Swedens national day, so it's a bank holiday. Yes, at the moment, it looks very doable.

Tentatively. I'm in the planning stages of my first trip across the pond in nearly 30 years and I'm making this meet the main date to work with. I'll probably fly to Edinburgh midweek preceding the meet so I can recoup a bit from the 12-15 hour flight. Then take a train to Manchester Friday for the premeet.

good... its still a while* off... plenty of time to wash my hair, and chose what to wear, and like figure out travel and stuff

Don't forget, Manchester is quite a large city (sort of) that does rather like its nightlife 
Which reminds me, I ought to pop into the pub I'm thinking off for the prequel, see what time they shut and whether they'd reserve a room for us.
The only food they do is crisps/nuts and varieties of pork pies though.
