h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Have sent my new list for next year have included a spare just in case.

Non-Olympic athletes are a problem, as they rarely seem to be well-known outside the country where they play. Except for David Beckham, but then he moved outside his native country and became famous in another one as well. Plus, he married a once-famous singer. And, his name found its way into a well-known movie title. Not that I am predicting his imminent demise.

Closing date is 31 December as always, but I'd appreciate them asap as there's a lot of work involved putting lists in alphabetical order and checking they're not already deceased, plus fiddly code to deal with, which I don't want to spend my New Years Eve doing
