One complaint.Every time I click a link I come out of Brunel.I like Brunel as everything works in it so why can't I get the front page in Brunel?

The front page in the older skins is no longer updated. The main reason for this is that to do update it each time means going in and editing the page and all its GuideML, whereas with the newer skins it's a case of typing numbers and text into a form that handles the layout for us.
Updating the older skin's front page takes time, quite a lot of time, and as you're aware, everything here is done by volunteers who barely have enough time to manage what we currently are, so I'm afraid that the front page in the older skins had to be archived and retired so that we could concentrate on other things to keep the site running.

Yes but this means that EVERY time I visit the front page I have to revisit my preferences to get Brunel back..
I guess I'll just have to avoid the front page.
Thanks for the reply.

Visiting the front page won't change your preferences, it's just that the links from it are in the new skin. But I see what you mean, when you click through from anything on the front page, you then remain in Pliny.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure there's a quick fix for this, but I'll have a think about it and see if there's anything I can do

Keep a link to your favourite page in your favourite skin among your favourites.
If you ever fall off the Brunel skin, go there and you're home.

Which is rather bad, if you want to follow the link, but in Brunel, I suppose
Sorry for the confusion.
