I have spoken to the moderation team, and let them know that it simply does not fly, in my own humble opinion, to have there be a yikesing witchhunt going on. One which oftentime thus far, has needlessly and unfairly has targeted respectable Aces and regular contributers to both the Edited and UnderGuides. People who I might add are found to be for the most part by their peers and "fellows" on here, to be very well and nicely put friendly and usually helpful members of the virtual community that there is on here.
Someone had to say something, about the bullying that had been going on.
under the guise of better moral & safety standards. Well, I'm an American. We already have to deal with that sort of reasoning being given to us on a regular basis. Off and on, that's been the pattern for several some odd decades, throughout our short history.
Heh.

Thankyou.
It's Veteran's day. The Veteran Aces are some of the people, who I think have been excessively targeted to a degree, so... how's that not a point of stark irony in contrast, of situation and so on?
*mutters several expressions about pots & kettles, of frying and fish, and being in a pickle*

Thank you. Until either, it gets exhausted, the issue solves itself, or a reason is found for me to get banned under. Pretences...
Can be quite more easily found when it is someone who is saying something that is not in the favor of 'how things are' there present path, the way it may seem to be going. However,
that is not the reason I am choosing to do this. & here.

Yes, the library PC had chosen at that moment to cut me off, so I sent the half as is and then cut-pasted to fill in some of the holes. I've been thinking this one longly over... in the back of my mind. It has been stewing there, for the past day or two... in the midst of my projects and assignments, and parents bickering, and whatever the odd-drop of a hat current local political events going on might be.
Eh... *shrugs*

nothing really so much, as is more than usual Lil. Thanks though.
It just seems kind of well,- rather mean and unfortunate,
the sort of ... this well, 'clarion call' I suppose one might call it, that's gone on, in the name of safety and in preventing offendedness.
I suppose, if you get down to it, it came to my notice that,
what if things were to become as bad as the data-'vandalism'that sometimes goes on in wiki, from time to time, where you could have things like religious fundamentalists erasing or complaining about an entry discussing things about theory of evolution?
I'm sure to some people, that things as otherwise inoffensive as that might be misconstrued, or selectively interpreted so as to be reguarded as offensive.
Sheesh.

Religious fundamentalists,
could they not take it on themselves to be offended and flag something as inappropriate, say... if it were to suggest a topic as otherwise innocuous as a detail to something reguarding the theory of evolution?

All conversations and Guide Entries are open to everyone to read. If someone is offended, then they have the right to press the moderation button.
However, the mods can only see the one posting, and none of the surrounding posts. Sometimes they are returned, other times, the posts are forwarded to the Tower for adjudication. At that point, the Italics can read the surrounding postings to make their decision.
Everybody has the right to appeal, after which, the Editors decision is final.
Edited Entries cannot be reached by anyone, except the Editors. Sometimes 'updates' are needed, which researchers will do and the Editors will attach them to the Guide Entry.
Does that make you feel any better?
lil xx

Yeah, kinda.
, I just... don't want to have the scenario occur, where I look back at it, and then check a page, only to find out... that things may have degenerated and gone to seed onto a wiki like level.
*is horrified at the prospect*
NOo!...

If it is at all like posting relevancy conventions on places like deviant art, then if you post too many plugs to other sites, in a conversation... that gets considered 'spam'. <- something rather in general disliked in places like chatrooms.
*Shrug*
That's just a guess though on my part,
not willing to place any kind of money on a bet about it either, necessarily.
Hmm...
*Adopts somewhat of a more grim expression on his face once again*

Oh lil, first you bring a locking cake tin to the Aces' Home Page threads, coz I'm (supposedly) a scone and now you accuse me of spitting at the mention of Wiki. Well, I don't, it's brunel that has me spitting . ( this post was written in the sense of fun, with no animosity intended )

Oh well. This MUD/MMoRPG game I have been playing, was abuzz in oh, what have you, among other things, because one of the winter items a DM brought into play was mistletoe.
Heh. Even scary warriors with skullmasks and tattered capes and stuff, like to get kissed sometimes.
Heh heh.
