Just a gentle nudge, this *is* an Announcement thread that's in danger of going irreversibly off topic.

Pliny bugs and wishes need to get posted here: A87753135 or there *will* be missed. We can't keep track of the whole site, believe me we tried and this place is huge

No. That's the old Ripley Who's Online that doesn't work. It's a long standing bug.

The new Who's Online we've built is completely different code and has nothing to do with the old code.

Would it be easier if you asked us just to report the features that work?

Here at Icy Towers, I pride myself in being able to hold my hand up when something goes wrong. Earlier today I responded to a posting in this thread. In it, I suggested in a jokey way that people might report things that were working in Pliny rather than those things that weren't. I see now that this remark was in very poor taste. I recognise the great work that Pastey and others have done to fix the bug-ridden and poorly designed piece of software which they inherited on taking over the site. I had intended to make people smile with what I thought was a clearly ridiculous statement, however I failed to realise that some may not find this a laughing matter - especially on an announcement thread - before submitting it, and this subsequently upset members of our valued volunteer community.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "sorry" to both Pastey, Witty Moniker, the other volunteers and the rest of the h2g2 community. On this occasion, I clearly failed to meet the standards that you expect of me, and I am happy to put the record straight on this occasion.

Please turn in your 'Witty' moniker, Witty Moniker.
And stop frowning at the screen. An Icy wind may come along
and you'll get frozen into that position.

I've made the flippant comment myself from time to time, and have when I've realized it was the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens.

Not only am I on-line, but the link in post 1 is also working, at least in Pliny.
