Plenty of enjoyable reading to come, but first impressions are of a good balance of the old and the new, and a suitably broad range of styles and subjects too. I’m going to risk being premature and say you did a good job there. And of course so did those who helped, if there were any that is.

I’ve dipped into the later Entries and was somewhat knocked sideways by freewayriding. That’s FWR I’ve just realised. The spectrum of today’s h2g2 is maybe wider than I’d noticed up to now. Who’s writing the good weirder stuff these days?

Hey, glad you got a copy! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I had fun exploring, and tried to go as deep as I could into the mists of h2g2 time and see that past friends were well represented.

Alas, today's crop of weird writers is a bit thinner than of yore, although Florida Sailor comes up with true yarns that are hard to believe. Paigetheoracle has joined us since the book came out - he's hard to describe, so I won't try...

Cactuscafe's full of surprises, and you've seen FWR's stuff (see his archive A87884392 ). I throw in a story every once in a while when we need filler and I'm caught up with the editing.

We do need to encourage this sort of thing more, though. We've also attracted some first-rate photography, some cartooning, and videos.
